About Marianne’s Music and Art

This blog is simply a way to share my music and art.   The sheet music that I have arranged or created is free and I hope that you enjoy it.  My art is on display but for more information on each piece or to purchase prints, please go to http://fineartamerica.com/artists/marianne+axman

Please use the links at the right to access the sheet music and to look at my artwork.

A little bit about me: I live in Idaho, USA with my husband and six children ages 14, 13, 11, 10, 6, and 6 months. (3 adopted and 3 biological).  I am pretty busy with my family (I really enjoy being a stay-at-home mom), but on the side I also enjoy playing the piano, writing music, working on my art, yard projects, riding my horses, reading, hiking, and anything that takes me outdoors.

I play the piano as an accompanist for church choirs and soloists and I have taught piano lessons.  I started to arrange and write music after being unable to find the sheet music for certain songs that I had heard, loved, and really wanted to play.  I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and so you will find that a lot of my music is Christ centered and hopefully all of it, uplifting.  I also really love to play the melody line in songs, which means that even in my songs with vocals, I usually include most of the main melody with the piano.

I graduated with a Bachelors Degree from BYU-Idaho in Art Education in 2006. In high school and college, I mostly worked with pencil and charcoal but now I do more painting. I also really enjoy sculpture. I mostly do art for myself and family.

    Marianne,

I found your arrangement of “Beautiful Savior” on LDS Free music. It is very beautiful! I appreciate your talents. I hope you don’t mind, I wrote a descant for the last part of the song.
It doesn’t detract from your arrangement, just an additional harmony to go along with it. We are doing it for a special musical number in our ward.

    Thank you,

    Sara Bailey
